Sudden cardiac arrest can occur without warning and requires immediate response to prevent death. Evidence shows that early cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) significantly improves survival chances when performed promptly by trained bystanders (American Heart Association, 2020). Recognizing the importance of community preparedness, the Healthy Heart Foundation introduced CPR and Basic Life Support training in 2023.
The program targets healthcare workers, corporate organizations, and workplace first aid responders, equipping them with practical life-saving skills to respond to cardiac emergencies.
